1984:

The Taro Beach Hotel is built.

 

1985:

The Monica Beach Hotel is added.

 

1999:

Two newly built hotels, Nautilus Beach and Costa Calma Beach Resort are inaugurated this year.

With those four hotels, Sunrise Beach Hotels is born.

 

2001:

Hotel Costa Calma Palace starts operations this year as the flag ship of the company.

Extension of Sunrise Monica Beach with the addition of 85 apartments.

 

2002:

Fort first time SBH has a new hotel outside of Costa Calma, the Club Paraiso Playa direct on the beach of Ezquinzo is added to the company.

 

2004:

Sunrise Jandia Resort, with three hotels, Ventura, Maxorata and Tamango is acquired from the RIU hotel group.

 

2006:

Adquisition of  a new hotel in Costa Calma, The Crystal Beach Hotel & Suites.

Completely reform the Sunrise Taro Beach endowing it with new services and facilities.

 

2014:

The chain changed its corporate image and renamed SBH Hotels & Resorts

 

2015:

The SBH Royal Monica in Lanzarote wide portfolio of the chain and is the first contract in hotel management.

The SBH Monica Beach Resort is completely renovated passing category 3 * to 4 *

 

2016:

SBH Jandia Resort will be renovated and his rooms inventory will grow starting November this year.
